Romanzi Rosa Homage

Il primo racconto di Catherine Coulter, scritto in giovanissima età - nel 1978 - è ambientato nella reggenza inglese perchè la scrittrice, per sua stessa ammissione, è cresciuta leggendo i libri di Georgette Heyer. Dopo averne scritti altri sei, ha deciso di tentare il salto di qualità e nel 1982 ha scritto il suo primo romanzo storico intitolato "Devil's Embrace".

Ha continuato a scrivere esclusivamente romanzi storici fino al 1988 quando ha pubblicato "False Pretenses" il suo primo romanzo contemporaneo di genere romantico/polizesco. Da allora ha sempre alternato un libro storico ed un libro contemporaneo, scrivendone un paio all'anno.

Catherine Coulter è anche stata una delle prime scrittrici a scrivere romanzi storici raggruppandoli in saghe: la scrittrice adora le saghe perchè così facendo non deve dire un'addio definitivo ai suoi personaggi... così come non devono farlo i suoi lettori! Non per nulla ha venduto più di 40 milioni di copie dei suoi romanzi in tutto il mondo.
